2.3% increase in sales of la Française des jeux in 2018

The French games, which should be privatized this year under the Pact Act adopted earlier this month, released Wednesday a turnover up 2.3% for 2018 and an operating margin of 17, 5%.

The Ebitda (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) of the unlisted group was stable at 315 million and the net result at 170 million euros, against 181 million euros in 2017.

“The financial and non-financial results of the group validate the relevance of our business model which combines strong operational performance, redistribution to the community including since 2018 to the French heritage, responsible gaming policy and strong economic and social footprint”, declares Stéphane Pallez, President and CEO, quoted in a statement.

The appointment last week of Raphaële Rabatel, the wife of the president of the LaRem group in the National Assembly, to the group’s communication department sparked a controversy, the opposition denouncing a conflict of interest when the majority has just voted to privatize the group.
